The Crunch, as mentioned in the first part of this cover presentation, was essentially D.C. Thomson's answer to IPC's 2000 A.D. Over 40 years later, the latter periodical is still on the weekly go, whereas its rival bit the dust after barely scraping past a year. It would be easy, therefore, to conclude that The Crunch wasn't up to much, but it was actually a solid little read for its 54 issue run, before it was merged into The Hotspur in January of 1980.
Were you around back then? Yes? Then settle back and refresh your memories of those happy times by perusing these power-packed covers and bathing in the glow of long-ago. If you weren't yet born in the late 1970s/early 1980s, don't worry about it. You can still enjoy the thrill of discovering for the very first time a comic that is now part of publishing history. Not yours, true... but no less exciting for all that.
And if you missed the first 27 covers in a previous post, you can find the link to it in the sidebar on your right.
