In a world where there is currently no Fantastic Four comic, it might be hard to believe that at one time, FF was one of Marvel's top-selling titles. Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's 102 issue run set the standard of course, but right up there alongside it is John Byrne's 62 issue run (he plotted the next issue, but didn't script or draw it) from the early to mid 1980s. While we wait for the Cosmic Quartet to return in a monthly mag, let's look back at JB's covers and remind ourselves that this really was "The World's Greatest Comic Magazine".
We'll see the second batch of covers in a future post... watch out for them.
