There were five of them... Power Comics that is. First there was Wham!, then Smash!, then Pow!, and going from memory rather than research, it was in the week that Pow! debuted that the Power Comic emblem appeared for the very first time... on all three periodicals. Within a relatively short time, Fantastic and Terrific made their first public appearances, and they likewise wore the badge of Power.
If you weren't around then, dear readers, you missed out on an epic if all-too short-lived age. To compensate for your oversight in allowing yourselves to be born too late to capture the magic as it happened, here are the covers of all five Power Comics from the 1960s.
(Remember, Wham! and Smash! didn't wear the name or the badge of 'A Power Comic' until Pow! popped up, which is why it's absent from pre-1967 issues.)
